Growing up, I've always enjoyed exploring new places around Iloilo. What draws me most are quiet spots in nature where I can find peace and tranquility. While Iloilo has many beautiful destinations, Igtuble stands out as truly special, its beauty leaves me speechless! So, let me share with you why Igtuble is such an incredible place to visit.
When Nature Paints in Green
My journey started on May 5, 2022 when my aunt decided to bring me to Tubungan to stay in their house for vacation. I packed my things immediately and went with them. I was excited because they told me we would go to Igtuble.So, When we arrived in Tubungan, we dropped by their house to leave our belongings and headed to Igtuble. On our way there, I couldn't close my mouth because of what I saw - nature was breathtaking! The road going up was zigzagging, with very few houses along the way. The estimated travel time from Jolason to Igtuble is approximately 30 minutes. As we reached the top of the mountains, I was mesmerized by the beauty around me. It looked like computer graphics, like a photo that had been perfectly placed. I couldn't believe what I was seeing - it felt like I was imagining things.

I took many photos of the mountains and skies. My heart was pounding so fast, I felt as though I fell in love with this place, as if my heart belonged here. Every time the wind touched my body, it was like touching my soul, I felt deep peace and calm. 'Oh, Igtuble, how can you be so beautiful?' This question kept running through my mind. I couldn't stop smiling because I was so happy with what I was seeing - it was like being in another country, like Switzerland (though I hope to visit there someday too! 🤞🏻). I decided to walk around and explore the place, climbing the mountain to see its beauty more clearly. I spotted a wooden chair and decided to sit and relax for a moment, enjoying nature. It was so peaceful in that moment that I wished I could pause time, especially since life has been so stressful. In that instant, I realized something profound, while the world spins in turmoil, nature remains steadfast in its peace. It's as if she knows exactly when we need to escape, offering us sanctuary in her eternal calm.
After visiting the mountains, we made our way to Bato Sumpit Falls. Like the mountains before it, the falls proved equally captivating, with crystal-clear waters that sparkled in the light. Though I longed to approach the actual waterfall, I must admit that my fear of water held me back, my phobia I hope to overcome someday. The risk of slipping and drowning was too great a concern for me to venture closer. Instead, I chose to sit by the water's edge, letting the gentle current wash over my feet. As I played with the water, I felt carefree once again, like a child discovering nature's wonders for the first time. Our journey continued until we reached the farthest point of Igtuble, where road construction work was ongoing. I was determined to capture every memory, I took numerous pictures, knowing I couldn't predict when I'd return to this amazing place. In those final moments, I seized the opportunity to truly immerse myself in the experience, closing my eyes and allowing the soothing breeze to touch my skin. Though time was running short, I held onto the hope that someday I'll have more opportunities to revisit Igtuble.
